NEW YORK - West Village staple Tortilla Flats is closing its doors for good this week.

The owners of the popular Tex-Mex restaurant were not able to come to an agreement with their landlord for a new lease.

The spot was known for modestly priced food and margaritas as well as providing a party vibe for the past 35 years.

Locals also turned up for events like trivia and hula hooping.

It's last meals will be served Saturday October 27.
