A driver is dead following a crash involving a tractor trailer early Monday morning in the Bronx.
The NYPD says it happened at 5 a.m. on the Major Deegan Expressway.
According to police, a black four-door sedan was parked on the shoulder near exit 7, possibly in the wrong direction.
A tractor trailer traveling northbound hit the sedan and the driver of the sedan was ejected from the vehicle, ending up underneath the truck.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver remained on the scene.
Police say no criminality is suspected.
