The body of a woman found in Philadelphia is that of a missing mother from the Bronx.
The body of 50-year-old Vianela Tavera was discovered inside the basement of a house.
She had been shot in the head, and her death has been ruled a homicide.
Officers found her body after residents complained of a strong smell in the area.
Tavera had been missing since July 28, when she went to Philadelphia for a planned trip.
Her car was found in Virginia on July 30th with Luis Negron-Martinez sitting inside.
A gun was also found in the car.
Negron-Martinez was arrested on weapons and grand larceny charges.
Investigators believe he knew the victim.
