Police are still searching for the driver they say cut off another car in the Bronx — killing a beloved cheerleading coach at Cardinal Spellman High School. Her teenage daughter was also hurt in the crash. NY1's Lori Chung has more.

"She kept this family together and now we don't have anything," said her father-in-law Domenick Muccio.

One minute she was driving home with her daughter, the next thing relatives knew Michelle Muccio was gone — killed in a horrific crash on I-95 late Saturday night, after police say an aggressive driver cut her off and caused her to lose control of her SUV.

Video captured moments after the crash shows Muccio's 16-year-old daughter Francesca distraught and desperate for help. Relatives say a driver had been tailgating them — seemingly annoyed that Muccio wasn't driving fast enough.

"He goes right up on her tail and the woman went to just move over a little bit to let him pass, and when he passed he just pulled right in front of her," her father-in-law said.

The 44 year old swerved to avoid a crash, causing her SUV to overturn. Muccio suffered severe body trauma. The other driver kept going.

"They have to know, this person has to know that they caused this accident," Domenick Mucco said.

Relatives say they had just left a school play at Cardinal Spellman High School where Francesca is a student, and Muccio a beloved Varsity Cheerleading coach. Former students say she was like a second mom.

"She's loving, she's caring, she always makes sure everybody's okay, if I didn't have money she'd give me money to get food afterwards," said one former student.

Now friends, family and former students grieve, they hope the driver of the other car realizes how many people are now hurting.

"It wasn't a woman like this, it was everybody else first and her second," her father-in-law said. "It was totally unbelievable what she, it breaks my heart the whole family is torn apart now because she was the nucleus"

Cardinal Spellman put out a statement, saying the entire school community is mourning the loss of the mom of three. Two of her daughters are current students at Cardinal Spellman, one graduated in 2014. the family now wants whoever that driver is, to come forward and take responsibility.
