A strike has been averted at the Hunts Point Market in the Bronx.

Workers and drivers won't be walking off the job after all.

Their union reached a tentative deal on a new contract Tuesday night.

The market provides most of the fruit and vegetables to stores and restaurants around the city.

The previous contract expired Tuesday.

Union members will vote on the agreement later this week.

The Hunts Point Market has not had a strike in three decades.
