Private Emmanuel Mensah, who died after saving several lives from that large Bronx fire, will be honored by the U.S. Army.

The Army private rushed in and out of the Bronx apartment to bring four people to safety.

Mensah will receive the Soldier’s Medal, the Army’s highest peacetime honor for bravery.

And the Medal of Valor, which is awarded to those who display similar acts of heroism.

Mensah was one of 13 people who died in the December 28 fire.

A toddler playing with a stove was to blame for one of the deadliest fire in the city's history.

Smoke and flames swept up the stairwell in minutes and blocked the main route to safety.
