The man responsible for making fake bomb threats to several Jewish community centers was sentenced Wednesday to five years in prison.

Juan Thompson, 32, pleaded guilty to cyberstalking and hoax bomb threat charges in June.

He targeted the Anti-Defamation League's headquarters in Manhattan and JCCs in Staten Island, Westchester, and Long Island, among others.

Thompson admitted to making the threats in his ex-girlfriend's name as part of an effort to harass and intimidate her.

Prosecutors say Thompson also sent e-mails to her employer, claiming she had broken the law.

The St. Louis-native and reporter previously worked for the online news publication The Intercept, but was fired for fabricating sources.
