The New Yorkers for Affordable Energy coalition is urging the state to stop blocking natural gas infrastructure projects, like pipelines. A new op-ed from one of the members, the Business Council of New York State, argues that green lighting these projects would create jobs in construction and similar industries while helping lower energy costs for everyone. The group is pointing to a report from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that says inaction could cost the state one point six billion dollars.
