Zachary Carter, who served as the city’s corporation counsel under Mayor Bill de Blasio, joined Errol to talk about the high-profile cases he took on during his tenure, including the settlement of the Central Park Five, who are now known as the “Exonerated Five.” He also weighed in on the state of police-community relations and discussed what Eric Adams should be focused on when he is sworn-in as the next mayor. And as the first Black U.S. Attorney appointed to the Eastern District of New York, Carter talked about leading the prosecution against the NYPD officers in the 1997 case involving Abner Louima and the case of Jordan Belfort, the stockbroker whose story was turned into the movie, “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
