The Yankees honored one of their all-time greats Sunday night.
Derek Jeter, 42, had his number 2 jersey retired, and a plaque in Monument Park unveiled.
Because of Saturday's rainout, the ceremony took place between games of a single admission doubleheader.
The former captain is the 22nd Yankee to have his number retired.
Many of his former teammates attended, including closer Mariano Rivera, pitcher Andy Pettitte, and catcher Jorge Posada.
Jeter played 20 seasons with the Yankees before he retired at the end of the 2014 season.
He debuted in 1995, and was named Rookie of the Year in 1996.
He won five World Series and made 14 All-Star teams.
The former shortstop is the Yankees all-time leader in hits, games played, and stolen bases.
