MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: SHOWERY START, SUNNY FINISH

After a mainly dry week, we’re tracking showers. A slow-moving storm system is moving into our area, and it will bring our first rain in six days.

Look for on and off light rain Friday night and through the daytime hours on Saturday. Most of the rain will be light, and Saturday’s high temperature will be in the upper 60s.

On Sunday, we’ll have dry conditions, and there will be more clouds than sun. The high will be 67 degrees.

And on Memorial Day, bright and mild conditions are in store with a high in the low 70s.

HERE COMES THE HEAT:

A shift in our weather pattern is in store next week. Consistent warmth is expected start on Wednesday and lasting for at least five to seven days. The high temperatures most days will be in the upper 70s and low 80s. This is a big shift from the chilly weather pattern that we’ve seen here in the city during the month of May.
