A low pressure system over the area gave the five boroughs a wet and windy Sunday, and afternoon temperatures struggled to break the 40-degree mark. Most of the region saw rain totals between a half-inch and one inch, and winds topped 25mph in some locations.

Brighter and drier conditions will be seen on Monday, however it will remain quite cold and breezy. Temperatures are not expected to get out of the 40s.

Looking ahead, expect skies to stay on the bright side for Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s. Our next storm system makes its way into the region on Thursday. Showers will develop by the late-afternoon hours, and more rain is likely on Friday. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 40s and low 50s. Look for drier conditions next weekend.
