A storm system off to our south kept the five boroughs under the clouds on Saturday, but, conditions stayed largely on the dry side as all wet weather held off until the evening hours. In addition, afternoon temperatures were unable to get out of the 40s, making it the sixteenth straight day in which afternoon highs were below-normal.

Sunday is looking brighter and drier, and temperatures are likely to return to more seasonable levels. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the low 50s.

Looking ahead, expect clouds to increase Monday morning as another storm system moves into the region. Showers are likely during the afternoon hours, and winds will increase as well. Highs will be around 50. The sunshine returns on Tuesday and stays in place for the rest of the week, but, conditions will cool-down as temperatures drop back into the 40s.
