Sunday began on a gray note in the Big Apple, but, skies did brighten later in the day and temperatures warmed into the low 80s.  It wasn't all sunshine around the area however; Parts of Queens and Brooklyn saw heavy downpours during the early-afternoon hours, with some locations seeing between 1 and 2 inches of rain in a short amount of time.

More raindrops are expected on Monday, and we'll see a lot more clouds as well. Temperatures will hover around the 80-mark again, and the humidity will remain at moderate-to-high levels.

Look for the threat of spotty wet weather to remain in place throughout the week. No all-day rain events are expected, but, we will see a shower or storm from time-to-time. Temperatures will be on the rise as well, with afternoon highs approaching 90 during the second half of the week.
