Mild air continues to build over the northeast and will peak as we head into late Thursday and Friday. Overnight, our temperatures will hover in the 30s. As we continue into Thursday, our temperatures will climb into the 40s and should climb above 50 during the early evening hours. This means we can expect a lot of melting and large puddles to form and possibly even some minor street flooding near blocked drains.

Rain will begin after midnight Thursday night and continue on and off through Saturday morning. As much as an inch could fall which could, combined with melting, lead to some minor street flooding. Meanwhile, temperatures could approach 60 degrees Friday afternooon despite the rain.

Later Saturday our temperatures will begin to fall quickly and we'll be back to colder winter temperatures into the new week.
