We are in the final hours of 2017 and the deep freeze continues. Temperatures tonight will settle into the teens as winds become light to nearly calm. That means hardly any wind chill tonight which will effectively make it feel 10-15 degrees warmer than the last few nights. Saturday will be mainly cloudy and cold with a period of light snow during the afternoon. Only about a dusting of accumulation is expected. It will clear out later Saturday night and then turn cold and blustery for New Year's Eve. If you're planning to watch the Ball Drop in person, bundle up! It will be one of the coldest New Year's Eve Celebrations in NYC in years with temperatures in the mid teens and wind chills around zero. The cold weather continues into the start of 2018. Stay warm!
