Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed five new pieces of legislation on Veterans Day designed to get returning vets the help they need.

One of the bills gives people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder access to medical marijuana.

PTSD is one of the biggest issues vets face as they try to reintegrate after their service.

Cuomo says there's 770,000 vets in New York who need our help.

"What we've said to the veterans is that we appreciate your service and when you come back home, we'll be here for you and I don't think that promise has been fully fulfilled by this country, and hopefully that would change," Cuomo said.

New York becomes the 28th state to make PTSD a qualifying condition for medical marijuana.
