“Topdog/Underdog” at the John Golden Theatre

Suzan-Lori Parks’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Topdog/Underdog” will have its final performance on Sunday, Jan. 15 at the John Golden Theatre.  

The two-hander features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Corey Hawkins as brothers — and both men are giving master class performances.

“The Old Man and the Pool” at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre

A little further uptown at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Center, comedian Mike Birbiglia is holding court and will have the audience both laughing and crying with his latest solo show “The Old Man and the Pool.”

“The Old Man and the Pool” will shutter on Sunday, Jan. 15.

Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations” at the Greenwich House Theatre

Moving to off-Broadway but keeping with solo shows, the fabulous Eddie Izzard is currently tackling Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations” in its entirety at the Greenwich House Theatre.

Looking at the cabaret scene, musical theater leading man Tony Yazbeck returns to 54 Below.

“Electric Island” at the Green Room 42

Theatre veteran Rachelle Rak is set to bring selections from her new musical “Electric Island” to the Green Room 42 Monday night.  

“Electric Island” tells true stories of women working on Broadway, and will feature musical theater veterans, such as Angie Schworer and Katie Weber.
