Broadway has a new boss.

"Springsteen on Broadway" made its debut on the Great White Way Thursday night.

The rock and roll hall-of-famer tells his life story while performing some of his music in a stripped-down performance without the iconic E-Street Band.

Some of the biggest names in show biz came out for the premiere.

"Beyond excited. We're like, so lucky. We can't believe we get to see, witness it," said actor, writer and producer Tina Fey.

"Favorite song? I'm going to go with 'Lost in the Flood' for now," said comedian Jon Stewart. "Changes every day, to be honest with you."

"I'm very excited," said Max Weinberg, the drummer in the E Street Band. "I generally see the rear view of Bruce, so it's going to be fun for me to see him from the front."

The show runs through February 3 at the Walter Kerr Theater.
