Victoria Manna joined the NY1 team as a freelance video editor in 2017.  She quickly became staff and wore many hats in the newsroom, whether it be writing for our “Around the Boroughs” segment, producing packages or assisting reporters on shoots. She made her debut on air after a reporter called out sick and she went out to report the exciting new acquisitions to the Brooklyn Nets.

Victoria always knew she wanted to tell stories about the city she was born and raised in. Her aspirations to be a reporter were even highlighted in her fifth-grade yearbook. She always touts her education in the city’s public school system. She is a proud Brooklyn College alumni and continues to chat with students who want to be in the news business. Victoria grew up in Brooklyn and now calls Staten Island home.

Victoria’s favorite part of this job is meeting the people who make up this great city. She says there are so many inspiring stories out there, and she is grateful that she is able to tell them.

When Victoria is not running around Staten Island with a cawfee (she says that's the only way to pronounce it) and a camera, she is exploring the rest of New York with her family and friends. She says life is best lived with laughter and new experiences.
