A graduate of Hofstra University, Justine Re doubled as a full-time student and a freelance video editor at NY1 in 2015.

Fast forward to October of 2018. Justine made her way back to the NY1 newsroom as a freelance news and traffic reporter.

Today, Justine is proud to be a full-time general assignment reporter for communities across the five boroughs.

Throughout Justine’s time as a journalist, she has held several different titles, including digital reporter at Inside Edition, and traffic reporter and producer at WCBS Newsradio 880. She has won an AP Award and a Gracie NY Women in Media Award.

One of the stories Justine cares the most about is her coverage of the problems faced by a day care facility in a public housing complex. She says she acquired a new perspective after looking at how a business fared as a public housing tenant.

When she's not in the newsroom, Justine can usually be found at yoga, in a spin class, or spending quality time with her friends and family. A native of Long Island with a true passion for transit, it’s fitting that Justine's favorite bridge is the Throgs Neck, as it’s become a symbol to her of being close to home.
