Jill Urban – previously Jill Scott – joined NY1 in 1999. She was the newschannel's long-time Home reporter before tackling the Real Estate beat.
She started at NY1 as a newswriter and later became a general assignment reporter, covering everything from the Blizzard of 2000 to the tragedies of September 11th and the crash of Flight 587.
While she is very much a New Yorker, Jill actually grew up just across the river in Fort Lee, N.J. She graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland.
Before joining NY1, Jill contributed reports to Time Warner Cable's Channel 10 News in New Jersey, and worked behind the scenes at News 12 New Jersey, Fox Sports and Fox Studios East.
