BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police in Brooklyn are investigating after two men shot one another during a deadly altercation Thursday morning.

The NYPD says it happened around 5 a.m. on Lewis Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. 

When police arrived, they found a 29-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. 

He was rushed to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. 

Later, police found the other gunman, a 30-year-old who had been shot in the neck. 

He was brought to the hospital and is expected to survive. 

He was placed into custody and charges against him are pending.
