Police are searching for a man they say is wanted in connection with an anti-Asian hate crime, this time on board a southbound "5" train in Manhattan.

Authorities say it happened as the train was pulling into the 42nd Street-Times Square station while operating on the "3" line Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the man yelled anti-Asian slurs at a 44-year-old woman and her three children, and then started spitting in their direction.

According to police, the man then knocked the woman's phone out of her hand and proceeded to kick it out of the back door of the subway car onto the tracks as the train was still moving.

He left the train and ran out of the station headed west on 41st Street towards 8th Avenue, according to police.

The victim was transported to Mount Sinai West in stable condition.
