BRONX, N.Y - Police are searching for a driver who struck a grandmother and her 2-year-old grandson who was in a stroller while they crossed a street in the Bronx on Monday.

It happened at Mace Avenue and Eastchester Road in Pelham Gardens just after 2 p.m.

Police say they were crossing in the crosswalk when a red GMC Terrain Denali made a left turn, hitting them both and knocking them to the ground. 

Surveillance video shows the driver get out of his car and to check out the scene before getting back into the vehicle and driving away.

The grandmother and toddler were brought to Jacobi Hospital, where she refused medical attention for a bruised leg.

The 2-year-old was treated for a cut on his head.
