New York City’s seven-day coronavirus infection rate average has again eclipsed the 5% marker and is now sitting at 5.32%, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The seven-day average of reported cases per day is more than 2,600, and 185 more people were hospitalized Thursday, the city says.

On testing, Mayor de Blasio announced the city is making tangible progress, though: it can now do 120,000 tests per day. Moreover, for the week of November 18 to the 24, the city conducted a record 500,000 tests.

Moving to the statewide level, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday total COVID-19 hospitalizations are at 5,164  — the highest since May 20.

Of the 197,406 tests reported Wednesday, 10,178 came back positive — putting the state’s single-day coronavirus positivity rate at 5.15%.

Ninety-two New Yorkers died from the virus Wednesday, according to the governor.
