BRONX, N.Y. - Four firefighters were hurt Monday night while battling flames inside a Bronx bike shop that has been a fixture in the neighborhood for decades.

The FDNY says the fire broke out inside Arrow Cycle, located at 4055 White Plains Road in Wakefield, just before 9 p.m.

Nearly 200 firefighters were called to the scene.

"On arrival, they had a serious fire in the score. It seemed to be unoccupied. We had been unable ton complete searches in the building due to the amount of fire and the structural stability of the building," said FDNY Chief of Operations Thomas Richardson.

There was no one inside the bike shop at the time.

Investigators are looking into the cause.
