BRONX, N.Y. - Two people are dead after a car crash in the Bronx early Tuesday morning that ended with the vehicles going up in flames.

Police say one car was speeding on the southbound Bruckner Expressway just before midnight when it hit two light poles. It flipped into the north bound lane, hitting four cars and causing the final car to crash. 

Two people in the car that hit the pole were killed.

Two others were taken to the hospital. Three refused medical attention.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
