The National Park Service is planning a gradual reopening of Liberty and Ellis Islands if the city enters Phase four on Monday.

The interior of the statue, including the pedestal and crown, will remain closed for now.

But visitors will be allowed on the grounds.

The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Museums will be open but theaters and interactive exhibits will remain closed.

There will be limited food and gift shop services.

Visitors will see social distancing markers and hand sanitizing stations, and all guests and staff will be required to wear face coverings.
