For those with experience or interest in the medical field, a community-based ambulance corps in Queens is looking for volunteers.

The Little Neck-Douglaston Community Ambulance Corps is looking for more EMT, ambulance attendant, or youth corps volunteers.

The corps has a crew to assist the FDNY with 911 calls and another to help those in the community.

Current volunteers say helping the community is something they're happy to do.

"I think it's a great thing to volunteer out of my own time," said Paul Mai, a supervisor for the group. "Even though, aside from full time work, going back with family, just coming out here to volunteer really sets a deeper compassion for me."

There's no experience needed to volunteer and free training will be provided.

Anyone ages fifteen and up is welcome to apply by visiting lndcac.org.
