NEW YORK - Police in Manhattan are hoping new video will help them in their search for an e-bike rider who attacked a pedestrian with a bike lock, leaving them with a broken wrist and hand.
Investigators say the 22-year-old man was walking in a crosswalk on 14th Street and Fourth Avenue back on December 7.
Police say the confrontation began when the victim stopped in front of the man who was riding the e-bike.
Police say the man spit in the victim's face, followed him and struck him with the lock before running off and leaving the e-bike behind.
The victim was treated at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital and released.
Police the suspect is around 30 years old, approximately 5'8" tall, weighing 160 pounds with a slim build, mustache and short dark hair.
He was last seen wearing a grey knit cap, a blue jogging jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and black sneakers.
