NEW YORK - Police in Manhattan arrested a man Monday for allegedly threatening an employee at a gay bar.

Officials say back on December 9 Ameen Keshavjee mailed a powdery substance to the "Nowhere" bar located on 14th Street in the East Village.

It was later found out to be harmless.

According to the criminal complaint, the package was addressed to a specific employee with a note that read: "It's called anthrax. Enjoy."

Keshavjee was a patron at the bar and allegedly harassed that same employee via email months before the incident.

He faces a number of charges, including making an anthrax hoax threat.

If convicted, he could spend up to 10 years behind bars.
