A source tells NY1 that a 16-year-old girl in the Bronx may have orchestrated her own abduction. Unidentified men dragged her into a car Monday night, but was located safely Tuesday, police said.

Investigators say 16-year-old Karol Sanchez and her mom were walking along Eagle Avenue near East 156th Street in Melrose just before midnight on Monday.

That's when police say four men in a beige four-door sedan pulled up alongside them.

Two of the men got out and dragged the girl into the car and pushed the girl's mother to the ground and drove off, according to police.

According to authorities, Sanchez was reunited with her family Tuesday, who picked her up from the precinct stationhouse.

A source tells NY1 that the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.

No arrests have been made.
