NEW YORK - A majority of New Yorkers support the impeachment probe against President Donald Trump according to a new Siena College poll.

The survey finds 55 percent of voters are in favor of Congressional efforts to impeach and remove the president; 38 percent are not.

The breakdown along party lines is pretty evenly split.

Seventy-nine percent of Democrats support impeachment while 81 percent of Republicans oppose it.

The Siena poll found presidential candidates Joe Biden and Elizabteh Warren are each favored by 21 percent of New York Democrats.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in third place with 16 percent support.
