A six-year-old boy who was inside a car stolen in Brooklyn on Monday has been found safe, police said.

Ronald Mowatt was inside a white 2007 Acura MDX when it was stolen at Avenue L, near Rockaway Parkway and East 96th Street in Canarsie, around 1:15 p.m., the city police department said.

Mowatt was found in Brooklyn within two hours.

Police were searching for the suspect, who was not identified, as of this writing. It's unclear if the suspect was aware the child was inside the car.
