Scott Farrar was sworn in Friday, October 4th as the 12th Postmaster of the Bronx. He'll oversee 45 postal stations throughout the borough and 24 zip codes.

Though he'll head up the Bronx, he's actually a Staten Island native and is an army veteran with three decades of service to the United States Postal Service under his belt. He started as a letter carrier and worked his way up to different supervisory positions.

He says he can't wait to get started.  "Excited. Very excited. It took a long hard work but sticking to everything and being persistent, that's what you get."

Farrar most recently worked as the Postmaster of Jamaica, Queens.
