BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The New York City Police Department is hoping new video will lead to an arrest in connection with a shooting in Brooklyn earlier this month that injured two people.

It happened early on the morning of August 11 on Williams Avenue in Cypress Hills.

People are seen scattering as the man fires his weapon several times.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the arms and groin.

A 19-year-old female was hit in the leg.

Sources tell NY1 the man was the intended target, but it's not clear what led to the shooting.

Both the victims were taken to Brookdale hospital where they were treated and released.
