NEW YORK - Mayor Bill de Blasio is back on the campaign trail this weekend in Iowa.

This as his campaign faces questions over funding for these trips.

Formal complaints claim that de Blasio violated campaign finance laws.

He's accused of using money that was donated to Political Action Committees in support of other candidates.

If that's true, it would mean donors exceeded contribution limits and the donated funds were not properly disclosed.

This weekend's Iowa State Fair is a major campaign stop for presidential candidates.

The mayor will be there on Sunday, along with First Lady Chirlane McCray.

On Friday night, they will meet with local Democrats.

A gun safety forum hosted by former mayor Michael Bloomberg is on their schedule for Saturday.
