BRONX, N.Y. - Firefighters say a massive four-alarm apartment building fire in the Bronx this morning is now under control.

Flames could be seen shooting out of the roof of the residential building located at 1466 Watson Avenue in Soundview.

The fire broke out around 6 a.m.

The FDNY says three civilians and four firefighters were being treated for minor injuries at the scene.

One civilian is said to be in serious condition.

Fire crews say the fire affected at least two buildings after it spread through the cockloft.

Officials at the scene say many of the lower floors in the buildings suffered major water damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
