Hundreds of local vendors set up shop for the 14th annual Eighth Avenue Summer Festival.

The avenue was closed off to traffic Saturday from 42nd Street to 57th Street in Hell's Kitchen.

The event offered unique merchandise, including everything from jewelry and clothing, to leather goods and interesting collectibles.

"We're excited. We came here last year and it enjoyed it. Same fair, same belt, same food," said one attendee.

"It's a lot of fun. Even just selling, business-wise, it does well, but also, just a time to meet people from all over the world because it's Times Square. So I've met really interesting individuals here," said Lisa Lema, a vendor.

Grilled corn, arepas and gyros were some of the food options available at the festival.

More than 500 vendors took part in this year's event.
