Members of the LGBTQ community gather outside a historic gay bar in Greenwich Village, to paint the crosswalk rainbow for Pride Month.

The sidewalk outside the Stonewall Inn is looking a little more colorful after the ceremony Saturday.

On top of this being Pride Month, it's also a particularly special month for the bar. June is the 50th anniversary of riots at the inn, which many consider the start of the modern gay rights movement.

The week culminates in a pride march next Sunday.
