Members of the Yankees surprised one young Brooklyn boy, pitching in to help get him a special bike to call his own.

Team Manager Aaron Boone and several players showed up at Behind Bars, a Brooklyn bike repair shop. That's where they presented 14 year old Kiko Mina with a bike created by AdaptAbility, a business that speciliazes in bikes for people with special needs.

Mina, who has a rare seizure disorder, later took the new bike for a spin through a local park.

Outfielder Cameron Maybin says it was an uplifting experience to give back.  "Things like this give you goosebumps and I'm excited we can use our platform and let these families know how much we care, and how we want to see them involved and happy."

The surprise was all part of  Yankees HOPE week, an annual tradition where the team perform acts of goodwill throughout the city.
