President Trump backed down on his threat of ICE raids and deportations of undocumented immigrants that were set to take place tomorrow.

He tweeted this afternoon "At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border. If not, Deportations start!"

Meanwhile, Mayor de Blasio reiterated his support for undocumented New Yorkers while campaigning today.

"To me it's just another effort on his part to whip up his base, and play a game. But it's caused a lot of fear. We're going to get information out constantly on what's really going on. We're working closely with the NYPD to make sure people get real time reports if there is a real raid and also to dispel rumors about raids that are not happening which we've seen before."

If you or someone you know is arrested the ICE - the Action NYC hotline at 1-800-354-0365 or the Liberty Defense Team at 1-800-566-7636 both provide safe and free legal services.
