ALBANY, N.Y. - State lawmakers have voted to exempt nursing mothers from jury duty.

Both the Senate and Assembly passed the legislation this week and it now heads to Governor Andrew Cuomo's desk.

He is expected to sign it.

The bill would allow women to use a doctor's note to push off jury duty for up to two years if they are breastfeeding.
