Party Boats can remain docked at the Brooklyn Army Terminal, despite opposition from people in the area.

Community Board 7 approved a proposal this week to keep those boats there.

But, board members say there are a number of stipulations to ensure people party safely.

That includes capping the number of departures to six on Fridays.

"We want to make sure that the operators of the vessels are being responsive to the needs and the concerns around safety and security when people disembark after being on a vessel drinking for two hours," said Cesar Zuniga, President of Community Board 7.

"The mayor made decisions without us and we want to work with him to make sure that if this is a good place to bring that business, that we do it with safety in mind," said councilman Carlos Menchaca.

Nine party boats were previously docking at the terminal, making a total of 22 trips each weekend.
