QUEENS, N.Y. - A school in Flushing is now the first in Queens to be closed by the city for not complying with the mandatory measles vaccination order.

This as the number of confirmed measles cases in the city has risen to 498.

The Health Department says the Yeshiva of Central Queens failed to exclude unvaccinated students.

Before it can re-open, the school will have to submit a corrective action plan, which will then need to be approved.

The eight other schools that were shut down were all in Brooklyn.

They have since been authorized to re-open.
