Public Advocate Jumaane Williams is calling on Hudson Yards to stop business practices he says are geared towards the wealthy and take advantage of low income New Yorkers.

Williams is asking for reforms to the controversial Visa program, known as the E-B Five Visa.

It allows wealthy investors to obtain the immigration documents in exchange for investing.

Williams says Hudson Yards received $1.2 billion through the program.

"They created a gerrymandered district that goes all the way up to 110th Street, to include NYCHA houses, so that rich people who live in other countries can purchase visas to get their families here," said Williams.

It is ultimately up to the state to rezone areas impacted by the Visa.

Williams is also calling on the City Council to pass a bill that would ban businesses from only accepting cards.

He says the practice is discriminatory to lower income New Yorkers who don't have access to debit or credit cards.
