Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan returned home Thursday to help kick off the growing season at a new and improved community garden.

The star of the TBS Show "The Last O.G." got to see for himself all the work done to the Hattie Carthan Community Garden in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

TBS pitched in to fund the improvements which include new beds for vegetables, fruits and flowers.  The garden operates a youth program and farmers market on weekends.

"This is where I was born and raised, right down the block, so yeah; I walked these streets my whole life. I've see this garden, so for me to be a part of it now, of course Hattie, this for you Hattie," said Morgan.

He and his family also packed apples for soup kitchens and food pantries.
