A second man charged in connection with the friendly fire shooting death of an NYPD Detective pleaded not guilty.

25-year-old Jagger Freeman was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court yesterday on several charges including murder.

Police say he acted as a lookout during a robbery at a T-Mobile store in Richmond Hill Tuesday.

The judge decided not to release Freeman.

His next court date is February 21st, and the case will go to a grand jury.

The other suspect in the robbery, Christopher Ransom, already pleaded not guilty to murder, manslaughter and robbery charges.

The NYPD says Ransom pointed a fake gun at police responding to the scene, prompting seven officers to fire a total of 42 shots.

One of the bullets hit detective Brian Simonsen in the chest, killing him.
