NEW YORK - Fans of "The Simpsons" may have noticed a familiar face and voice in Sunday night's episode.

Mayor Bill de Blasio made a quick cameo, carrying Grandpa Simpson on his shoulders while the family visits New York.

This wasn't the mayor's first time on the long-running sitcom.

He appeared as his real self in a 2017 special called "Springfield of Dreams: the Legend of Homer Simpson."

It was a satirical spin on the Ken Burns "Baseball" documentaries.
